Conduits Technologies, Inc. Releases Pocket Slides 1.7 for the Windows Powered Pocket PC, Pocket PC 2002, and Handheld PC 2000.

TAMPA, FLORIDA, February 24, 2003 - Conduits Technologies, Inc. announced today the release of Pocket Slides 1.7, a fully featured presentation solution for the Windows Powered Pocket PC, Pocket PC 2002, and most recently, Handheld PC 2000 class of mobile devices.

Pocket Slides enables users to use presentations on their mobile device. In addition to viewing presentations on the device, and giving presentations by way of an external VGA adaptor, Pocket Slides is the only product on the market that permits the creation of presentations and editing of presentation contents on the mobile device. Existing presentations from Microsoft® PowerPoint® can be copied to the device with the aid of the drag-and-drop conversion that Pocket Slides offers. Pocket Slides incorporates all the animations, transitions, and shapes of Microsoft® PowerPoint®.

With the use of a peripheral VGA device (usually a CompactFlash card or expansion attachment) connected to the Pocket PC, Pocket Slides enables the device to connect with a projector system, thus alleviating the need for laptops. Pocket Slides will simultaneously show the presentation on the Pocket PC and the video display. Pocket Slides also supports the attachment of a serial mouse, or remote pointing tool to the Pocket PC, thereby enabling the speaker to be a distance away from the Pocket PC while presenting. Annotations are supported, by simply drawing on the Pocket PC screen during a presentation.

Pocket Slides 1.7 improves upon earlier versions by increasing the overall product strength, by correcting defects that would occur with some presentations opened in earlier versions. Features now fully supported in Pocket Slides 1.7 include: using PowerPoint 97 to convert presentations, converting autoshapes, loading large (over 50 slides) presentations, and loading presentations with large text shapes and notes.

Pocket Slides 1.7 now includes a VGA auto-detection engine thus eliminating the hassle of tediously setting up the VGA output options, such as device type and output resolution. The list of supported devices has grown - in addition to supporting the Colorgraphic Voyager, Margi Presenter- to-go, and LifeView FlyJacket, Pocket Slides 1.7 now includes support for the Toshiba e740 VGA Expansion Pack, the HP VGA-Out PC Card (F1252A), the LifeView FlyPresenter-CF, and a user-configurable generic display driver.

The editing capability of Pocket Slides allows the user to tailor a presentation to their audience on-the-go, or to create a presentation without the use of a desktop computer. Users can add or delete slides; add, delete, or edit shapes and text on slides, as well as edit the properties of the presentation, such as animation settings and custom slide shows. After editing a presentation on the device, the user can convert the Pocket Slides document back into PowerPoint format.

Pocket Slides 1.7 enhances the round-trip document process by embedding the PowerPoint file into the Pocket Slides document. Previous versions of Pocket Slides required the PowerPoint file to be saved on the desktop to be referenced later. Presentations with multiple backgrounds throughout the slides are now supported. The Pocket Slides 1.7 conversion engine can be run in a "high- quality" mode, which anti-aliases text and shapes, thereby allowing for a finer presentation on a projector.

Pocket Slides 1.7 is available as a 30-day commercial demo from http://www.conduits.com, where the user can download and evaluate the software.

Pocket Slides 1.7 is available for purchase at $39.95. More information, including a full list of features, complete documentation and screenshots can be found on the Pocket Slides website at: http://www.conduits.com/products/slides/.
